Bread
and Tomato Salad With Flowers
Panzanella

loaf Italian bread, cubed and toasted
1
pint red grape tomatoes, halved
1
cup basil, torn
1
cup roasted red bell peppers, cut into strips
½
cup thinly sliced red onion
½
cup pitted Kalamata olives, halved
½
cup extra-virgin, first cold-pressed olive oil
¼
cup red wine vinegar
2
garlic cloves, minced
Salt
and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
¼
cup wild garlic chives, optional
¼
cup edible flowers, optional
Toss
in a large bowl, whisk oil, vinegar and garlic. Season with
salt and pepper. Add the bread cubes, tomatoes, olives, red
onion, peppers, chives, flowers, and basil.
Toss
well and cover with plastic wrap and let sit for at least one
hours. Some variations include capers, shaved Parmiagiano
Reggiano.
Manure
Tea Fertilizer Recipe
1. Get a five-gallon
bucket.
2. Get a shovel.
3. Get a clothespin.
4. Find a pile of cow manure.
5. Put clothespin on nose.
6. Shovel pile of cow manure into five-gallon bucket.
7. Fill bucket with water.
8. Let steep for a couple of days
9. Use a long-handled dipper and water your plants for strong,
healthy plants with beautiful blooms
